Christmas Cards

On of my favorite things about this time of year is receiving all the Christmas cards. I anxiously anticipate the mailman each day to see how many new cards we receive. I guess I don't have a life because this is seriously the highlight of my day during the month of December.
Well as of today, I have received 6 Christmas cards....these 6 must be from the most organized and on-time people I know.
Quite a few years back I started the tradition of putting all the cards on the backside of our front doors. I like putting them there (even if this would be considered tacky by some) because they are in a place where I can enjoy them fully. My kids really like seeing all the different cards we get too.
Have you sent your Christmas cards? Do you love getting cards like I do? How many have you received? What do you do with the cards you get?

Laura! I just LOVE getting Christmas Cards! To me, it is so fun to see how everyone changes from year to year and it is such a personal touch (these days email and text message seem to be the way to communicate!

I tape 3 long ribbons to my front or hall closet door (it sort of looks like a big present)...then as the cards come in we staple them to the ribbon...it looks so pretty!

To date we have received 7 cards!

Yes, I have sent my cards - all 275of them (ikes)!

Do you toss yours or do you keep them after Christmas is over?

Sophie scraps all the cards they get so she can see how everyone changes! Cute, but time consuming,(I tried it one year and haven't done it since)!

I love Christmas cards too. I have always sent out lots, but this year with out a job, we can't afford even a few. So, unfortunately, I will be sending our Christmas card digitally. Not as personal, but you do what you can do, right?

I love cards, too. I always have. My mom says I used to sleep with my birthday cards under my pillow when I was little.

Last night, walking out of the store where I finally got SOME of my stocking stuffers it occurred to me that I don't have cards yet! Nor have I received any! Usually I get at least one right at the start of the month! Oh, no!

Ai yi yi. When on earth am I going to figure out cards? And how will I pay for them?

I always hang our cards on the wall, usually with tape. Then we visited a house 2 years ago where they used staples and said they just touch-up painted afterwards. That sounded good to me since taped cards fall all the time and touch-up paint is easy when you're TRAPPED FOREVER IN WHITE-WALLED HOUSES. So last year I stapled them to the archway between living room and kitchen. Never touch-up painted. I think I'll use that ribbon-and-staple idea your friend mentioned above.

Love getting Christmas cards!!! My favorites are the cards with the pictures of everyone in the families. No offense to those who only put their kids on it! :) I usually put them on my hearth, but I am liking Stephanie's idea. I might try that.

I already got one and I just can't believe. We don't even have pictures for our cards yet. I don't know if we'll have time to make them this year. Too much going on. I really wanted to though, specially with the new baby...

Oh yeah, and I haven't even done the birth announcements and she's almost 3 months old. I don't even know if I should anymore...
