Chairperson

Ellie is Chairperson this week in k-1. She has lots of responsibilities (line leader, lead the Flag Salute, in charge of the calendar and weather, etc), but she also gets to do lots of fun things, like bring pictures, toys or books for sharing. Yesterday morning I watched her bring the class to order behind the podium with her gavel, she did a great job! Her favorite part of being chairperson is bringing baby pictures of herself for sharing.

What do you think it'll be.....boy or girl?

I think I have Josh convinced that tomorrow morning we will find out the gender of our fifth baby. So what do you think it'll be, a boy or girl? I'll keep you posted with all the details.

Olivia turns 4!

A special birthday donut.

Smiling big at Chuck E Cheese.

The cake, Olivia picked it out with only a little help from mommy.

Mimi, Liv, and Emmy (2 of Olivia's favorite friends)

Riding the big wheel around the living room.

Yesterday we spent the ENTIRE day celebrating Olivia's birthday! It started with donuts, then a trip to Chuck E Cheese for pizza and games, and finally cupcakes and ice cream in the evening. She had fun and relished being the birthday girl and all it had to offer. Some of her presents were a big wheel (remember those?), a Hello Kitty lounge chair, a horse play set, a princess leotard with ballet slippers, lots of clothes and cute shoes, an umbrella, hat, baby doll, color wonder set, and sidewalk chalk.....what more could a 4-year old ask for?

I know who I'm voting for

President Wilkinson

The bulletin board "If I became President I plan to...."

Ellie worked on this project this week in class. She said if she became President she plans to......"pass out cookies to everyone." Now that's my kind of President....trying to lure voters with sugary snacks. Yum yum!

A trip down Memory Lane

This is a picture of our old house.

Since the girls were out of school today, I went to visit my friend Danica. Danica and I met at Mountain View Community Church and we eventually bought houses about 3 blocks from each other in Clovis. She was a good friend to me in the early years of having my first child. We talked about life and took lots of walks to the park with our kids. Her house became the "potty house" because she lived about 5 doors down from the park and it never failed.... I'd walk the girls to the park and as soon as we got there, they had to go.
Today, on our way to Danica's I picked up lunch from Mediterranean Corner (yummy chicken pitas with the best garlic sauce, man I miss that place). We drove by our old house, the house I brought Ellie and Olivia home to after they were born. We saw the play set Josh built for the girls, the Japanese maples we planted in the front yard, the screen door Josh and the girls bought for me to let the breeze in, etc. I think it is good for the soul to reminisce and talk about old times. We only lived there about 3 years, but the memories made there are plenty. Here's to old friends and good times.

I wonder how many weeks pregnant I am

I had a doctor's appointment this morning and as I sat waiting to see my doctor I started wondering exactly how many weeks pregnant I am. A couple people have asked this week (the bump is starting to show) and they kinda look at me like I'm dumb when I respond with a blank stare (I can't blame them). I remember when I was pregnant with Addie everyday seemed to inch by and the weeks and months went by so slowly... I never thought I'd make it to week #40. This time around I'm thinking week #40 is going to be here faster than I can imagine. So today, I am officially 17 weeks, 1 day pregnant. Maybe I'll find a countdown to put on my blog to help me remember. I heard the baby's heartbeat today, I haven't felt him/her move much but I'm sure that will be beginning here soon.
