This morning Ellie's kindergarten class was visited by Clifford the Big Red Dog. I was able to be there and take pictures, oh I love being a stay-at-home-mom! She was excited to see Clifford, but very hesitant to hug him or get too close.

We had dinner last night with Josh's parents and his grandma and her husband, Gary. It was fun visiting and the girls did pretty well eating out. Grandma and Gary left this morning for Florida, where they live part of the year. We probably won't see them til Spring when they come back to Calfornia.

Grace is 10 months old today!

Grace turned 10 months old today. I wouldn't have even realized this fact, but Ellie asked me this afternoon, "Mommy, how old is Grace?" And I thought to myself, "What's the date today? I think it's August 25th. That makes her EXACTLY 10 months old today." I don't know why but I have a hard time remembering the date these days, I attribute it to not working, but it could be that my brain is mush. It seems like all the days run together and I catch myself trying to figure out what day it is. Anybody else have that problem? Anyway....our baby is 10 months old. She is crawling and moving quickly from place to place. She babbles loudly and her favorite word is dada. Her sisters love to play house with her, as long as she cooperates as the baby.

San Francisco Giants Game

Josh and I got away to San Francisco for a Giants game yesterday with our friends Todd and Amy. We had a great time! I can't begin to tell you how bad I needed a day like that with Josh. We had lots of time to talk in the car on the drive there and home. It was a chance to connect and remember why he is my best friend.

Addie & Ellie started school this week. Addie is in second grade and Ellie started kindergarten (a moment she has been waiting for for at least 2 years). They both have fabulous teachers and I am excited about the year to come. The beginning of the school year seems to represent a fresh start....new clothes, new teachers, new friends, new routines, new responsibilities......
